Gerber associated perfect technique with an uncanny stage presence. The communication with the audience leaves no room for non-participation. Saturday night, through the raspy textures of his voice, we were moved from one emotion to another, from hilariously absurd stories to moving unusual ballads. One of a kind! »

Al Rankin, Talent Coordinator Blues Skies Music Festival
Since the 28 years of the Blue Skies Music Festival, I haven’t ever seen the crowd boogie like they did tonight with Alan Gerber and his band. I knew it was going to be good, but I never even imagined it this good!

Holger Peterson, President of Stony Plains Records & host of CBC Saturday Night Blues
Seeing Alan Gerber perform live is a joyous experience. You can tell he loves to be in front of an audience and truly whips them into a frenzy. He’s amazing!

Yannick Malard, Festival Director “Beaumont à l’heure du Québec” France
You brought a true sparkle of life and light to the Beaumont Festival. People love your music as much as they love you.

From the get go he had the audience in the palm of his hand, and he wouldn’t let ‘em go until he was good and ready. John Wonderling I've had the pleasure of knowing Alan Gerber for over 25 years. He's a very unique talent . We've actually been threatening to work together since our very first meeting but, unfortunately, each of our busy schedules and geographic limitations have kept us out of playing in the studio together. Maybe someday we'll get a chance to do so. I certainly hope so. If Alan is ever given the right opportunity that he so justly deserves, he would definitely be a star. Hopefully, when he does, he'll remember me as one of his biggest fans and put me in his will.

Over the past four years I have had the opportunity of presenting Alan Gerber in a variety of venues and stages from a house concert in our living room, to an under the stars performance in Glen Arbor to a 125 year old Town Hall on River Street in Elk Rapids. Whatever the venue..whatever the time..whoever the audience...Alan Gerber delivered!! His natural gift for performance makes every venue seem like Carnegie Hall. His performance captured an audience from the first note to the last. His stage presence engaged an audience in a way that few performers can. His creative intensity carried the listener through a grand roller coaster of musical magic. By show's end, the listener knew that they experienced a unique performance by Alan Gerber, a master of the craft of both music and entertainment. In the nearly twenty years of presenting concerts in Michigan, Alan's performances are among the best that I have shared with audiences in Michigan.

Alan Gerber not only connects with the audience, he grabs them by their lapels and keeps their feet tappin' and heads bobbin' from the moment he steps on stage until the final encore. Boogie-woogie, folk, gospel, Cajun ,rock or gospel; this high energy, crowd pleasing, performer makes everybody happy. Gerber's amazing instrumental versatility, stage vitality and audience rapport, lifts his act notches above your average singer-songwriter concert to a peddle to the metal, no holds barred, one man review. "

Jim Gillespie, Director and Founder of Blissfest Music Organization
Alan Gerber is a dream performer for any artistic director. He brings to the stage a perfect trifecta of talent. Vocal prowess and power, a stellar command of multiple instruments(piano, guitar and violin) and a joie de vivre that is infectious, contagious and audience friendly. The man was born to boogie, It's in 'em and it's gotta come out of 'em.

"Gerber entertained the crowd with his energy and off-the-cuff riffs , to say nothing of his superb singing , fiddling , piano and guitar playing. That , along with his unpredictable comic relief , kept the audience rocking all night long ."

Caroline Déchelette of Courrier de la Nouvelle-Écosse
“A show many will remember, rich in emotions, in discovery. With warmth, this show made us discover or rediscover a music style we don’t hear much in the media. A remarkable show offered by the intergalactical quebecois artist Alan Gerber that nobody will forget.”

Paul-Emile Comeau, Artistic Director, Les Productions Le Moulin
A man was talking to someone next to him while we were all walking out of an intimate venue where Alan Gerber had just performed. "That wasn't music...that was magic," I heard him say. A few years later, when I was planning to start my own committee with the purpose of presenting concerts, Gerber seemed like a good choice for our debut event. After his performance a man in his early twenties came up to me and said,"That was amazing! I've never seen anything like it." A few minutes later a man in his sixties approached me and expressed the same sentiments. That was exactly what we were looking for...an artist who was hip but not trendy, and one who had cross-generational appeal. Gerber sold dozens of CDs that night and our concert series was launched with a bang!
